Somebody I know and have spent significant time with, turned out to have some very dark secrets.
They were very trustable, dependable, helpful, and kind… There was no red flags. It’s been 4 years and I’m telling you absolutely zero red flags whatsoever.
Somebody else I know was riding with them when they got pulled over. That’s when everything came out. Turns out they had a bunch of warrants and they were supposed to be on parole. We’re talking about some very serious crimes that they committed.
I was completely shocked because this person did not give me that Vibe at all. I almost still can’t even believe that this person could even commit that kind of crime. It’s crazy.
I am raising 2 kids full-time and I don’t associate with criminals and I don’t break the law. I have way too much to risk and on top of that I am a quadriplegic. I would have never even let this person around my life if I would have known! I am literally just shocked. I spent a lot of time with this person. I guess I’m lucky nothing happened.
So people be careful who you hang out with and it just goes to show you can’t fully trust anybody. Good luck and thank you for reading!
Oddly enough I’ve never really sat back and thought about my goals or what I would like to achieve. That being said I decided to do exactly that. Between today and five years from today, these are the 5 things I would like to have accomplished…
I really want to start earning my own income for once and I have always enjoyed making money. Ever since I broke my neck 11 years ago I have not made any money on my own and I have not worked. Within the next five years my goal is to reach the point where I am making no less than $120,000.00 a year. That will give me just enough money where I won’t have to depend on Medicaid or Medicare for my health insurance and I will be okay without my social security disability income. One way or another I am going to accomplish this goal.
My second goal for the next 5 years is to purchase each one of my children a vehicle. Growing up I had eight brothers and sisters and my parents didn’t make a lot of money so none of us got cars until we were old enough to get them on our own. Whether it’s a high school graduation present or just because they need it I would really like to be able to do that so that they can just focus on building their future.
Let’s see… Goal number 3… I would really like to take my family on a cruise. So that’s my mom, my little sister, her two kids, my other little sister, her two kids, and then me and my two children. Maybe from California to Hawaii and back or something out of Florida, the Caribbean? I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise ship and I can picture one with lots of water slides and a go-kart track on it as well as a full Casino Maybe? I don’t know it just sounds really nice to go on a cruise and just be out in the middle of the ocean with nothing else around.
This brings us to goal number four… I really want to start driving again and I know it’s possible. In fact I see my primary care doctor in the middle of May and he is going to send me over a referral to this team that will get me set up. I’m just going to have to figure out how to pay for it. Before I couldn’t drive after I broke my neck because I was having so many muscle spasms. Now that I got the baclofen pump implanted I hardly have any spasms so I would really like to start driving again. It would be really awesome to drive myself to the family reunion I was on my way too when I broke my neck. Plus I have always loved driving and I can’t wait to do it again. It just takes away my tension and stress.
My last and final goal for the next 5 years is to find somebody with a two-seater race car of any kind and get to go at least 160 mph. I would love to see what it’s like to get closer to 200 mph down a drag strip, just because I’ve always been a speed Junkie and I’m passionate about drag racing but I’ll settle for 160 if I have to.
Now that you’ve read my five goals for the next 5 years what are your goals for the next 5 years? What would you like to accomplish where would you like to be? Please comment fill me in and let me know. Follow along and together let’s see where I’m at in 5 years. I’ve got big hopes and dreams and lots of confidence. I know one thing for sure I’m going to accomplish something big in the next 5 years!
Anyhow, be positive and keep pushing forward one day at a time. Don’t forget that it can always get worse. Being positive attracts positivity. Don’t forget… If donkeydidit… You can too!
So I am all about giving my children more responsibilities the older they get. That being said, a few days ago I finally let my daughter and her friend have a sleepover at my house on a school night.
Now, she gets good grades and when she starts to fall behind on school work she’s good about getting caught back up as quickly as possible. Also she is already very responsible especially for her age and practically never makes poor decisions. She will even walk away from her group of friends if somebody within the group is doing something they shouldn’t be.
They were a little bit late getting to bed because they both wanted to straighten their hair before bed so it was ready for the next day. Other than that though they went right in and went straight to bed, no talking or anything.
I woke them up at 5:30am the next morning like I normally would, and to my surprise… They both woke right up and got ready for the day with no issues. No attitude no nothing. I was quite surprised.
Knowing that would you let it happen again or did I make a bad call? I am truly curious as to what you think. So please drop me a comment or shoot me an email!
Anyhow… Don’t forget… If donkeydidit… You can too!
If you don’t know what a foreclosed property is, it is a property that somebody was financed to purchase, typically a mortgage loan , and for whatever reason they could no longer make their mortgage payment or just completely stopped making it. Because of this the bank ceases the property and puts it in foreclosure. Foreclosure is where the bank comes in vacates and forcefully sells the property in order to recover the money they lent in the initial mortgage.
Foreclosed property cleanups were so rewarding to me. Oftentimes these properties sat vacant for two or more years. The yard would be 6 ft tall and the bushes untrimmed. Sidewalks overgrown and debris scattered throughout the yard and inside the home.
We had to mow the yard, trim the bushes, and haul away anything that wasn’t bolted down. As well as take before during, and after pictures of every square inch of the properties and the work we performed.
They had to look perfect, like they were never vacant and somebody just moved out. Like they were ready to be put up on the market. But before and after pictures were just mesmerizing, incredible, astonishing.
It wasn’t just as simple as mowing the yard or cutting the bushes back though you could not just mow it and leave the clippings laying there on the ground. You had to rake and haul it all away.
We would mow and rake, mow and rake, mow and rake. It was definitely hard work but it was very rewarding. Oftentimes the neighbors would come and compliment us and the work we performed.
We were required to mow and maintain up to an acre. Anything after that we had to submit a bid for. An acre may not seem like much but when it’s 6 ft tall and you have to mow it down like it’s perfect, it gets big really quick lol.
When we would get done and step back and look at the property, it was always like wow… It looks so good and I did that.
Have you done something where the before and after results are just so incredible? Leave a comment tell me about it.
I just want to let everyone know that I am going to try something knew… I usually write/post at least once a day. That being said, I noticed that I sort of stress a bit about whether or not I’m going to have time to write or what I’m going to write about.
I recently read an article about something called slow blogging. It made me realize that maybe I’m posting too much for people to actually follow along and read each individual blog post and reflect on it. On top of that posting so often maybe causing me to be less thoughtful. If anybody have any questions or advice, if there’s anything you would like to know or you are curious about, reach out to me and let me know. I will gladly answer any questions and take any advice I can get.
Thank you for being a part of my blog and reading my content. Remember stay positive and positive things will come to you. If donkeydidit… You can too!
Out of all the risky things I did, I broke my neck doing something that should be completely safe.
I used to go cliff diving all the time, jumping off of cliffs and bridges up to 60 70 ft tall. I went snowboarding all the time, jumping and doing tricks. Driving on crazy four wheel drive trails with cliffs all around. Driving really fast down mountain roads. Mountain biking down steep mountain trails. Driving fast and drifting snowy mountain roads with steep cliffs on either side.
I used to do lots of crazy yolo things and I break my neck with cruise control set seatbelt on being completely safe. It does not make any sense
So the first time I was almost shot I was almost 15 years old and I was at a party. My friend was in the middle of a horrible relationship with a guy and he showed up wanting to speak with her.
She didn’t want to speak with him and he wasn’t having it. He wouldn’t take no for an answer so she got one of the older neighbors involved. Her boyfriend finally left but a short time later there was a knock on the door.
He was back and this time he had somebody with him. He started fighting with the neighbor and next thing I know there’s a huge group of us all watching everything go down in the parking lot.
I’m standing there watching everything happen when suddenly the neighbor smashed him in the head with a beer bottle. I was in disbelief. I had never seen such a thing and I was shocked.
He stumbled backwards and then he reached into his waistband. Everybody took off running as we see him start to pull out a gun. I jumped behind some garbage dumpsters and hid for a second before I bee-lined to my buddy’s apartment
As I was running I heard the gun go off. The next day we were all hanging out when we noticed a bullet hole about a foot and a half to the left of my buddies apartment door. Two feet to the right and that would have hit me in the head.
The second time I was almost shot. I guess technically you could say I was grazed by a bullet. Some family friends had just gotten to new rifles. We were out shooting all day and came home and barbecued.
We had been home for a couple hours. I was standing outside my friend’s car on the passenger side with the window down and door shut talking to him. He was sitting in the driver’s seat with one of the rifles laying on his lap. We had been talking for about an hour.
All of a sudden I hear the loudest explosion I have ever heard. Let me tell you when you’re in front of a gun that is being shot it is much louder than it is when you’re the one shooting it. My ears are ringing and I can’t hear a word. He had removed the magazine but failed to realize there was a bullet in the chamber.
Suddenly I feel some kind of pain in my leg. I looked down and my pant leg had three holes in it. I lifted my pant leg thinking oh my God I’ve been shot. Little to my surprise there was a tiny little scrape that just barely started dripping blood. A scratch, a freaking scratch. I was so lucky.
Thanks for reading my story and don’t ever forget… If donkeydidit… You can too!
In September of 2022 I got once in a lifetime opportunity to drive to Mountain View California with my brother and sister-in-law and their little boy to watch Sublime and Incubus live in concert. It was intense and relaxing at the same time. Hands down the best concert I have ever been to and we got special seating because I was in a wheelchair.
The vibe of the concert made the beer go down easy and the smoke inhale smoothly… If you know what I mean. Haha. I normally don’t smoke but it was legal in that state and everyone there was smoking. Plus, I mean come on… It’s Sublime and Incubus.
That week was epic, not only did we go to the concert but we got to explore San Francisco. I had never been to California and my brother and sister-in-law had never been to San Francisco. We got to see the ocean, we got to see the Golden Gate Bridge, and see some of the prettiest Forest known to man. I have never been so relaxed and so stress free in my life. There was so much going on you didn’t have time to stress. I would go back in a heartbeat!
I’m pretty confident however, I would have to say… I think my father is the most confident person I know. He’s always joking around and it doesn’t matter who you were with, he’s not afraid to give somebody a hard time, and he is definitely not afraid to speak his mind. He will definitely chew someone out if he feels like they need it or they are out of line. Even if he doesn’t know you he would likely stick up for you if he noticed you were being mistreated. I am pretty much the same way but he is definitely a bit more confident than I am.
If you’ve been following along or you’ve read my story you would know I have a GoFundMe setup. https://gofund.me/a13ceee4
When I set up this GoFundMe I was seeking $100,000 so that I can pay for one year of my care as a quadriplegic. Since then I have been desperately searching far and wide for something I can do to start making money. Through all my searching and researching, I have been presented with a unique opportunity to be completely trained and taught something that will allow me to make all the money I need on my own even as a quadriplegic. This is something that I believe I can do, something that if I give my effort it will give back, and it’s even something that will make me feel better as a person. That being said I need to come up with the money to pay for all the training and other things I will need. Thanks to you guys my go fund me already has $1,090 in it. That’s great but I realistically need $40,000.00. That will give me enough to pay for the 12 month training and mentorship, the software I’m going to need, and invest into myself to get me going stronger. It will allow me to get on the road and start scaling my company. I would much rather earn the $100,000 I need on my own and this will give me that opportunity. I’ll finally be able to feel like I’m accomplishing something. I will have a job and I will feel like I’m serving a purpose. Thank you for reading and I look forward to sharing my success with you. The opportunity I have doesn’t come around often and I 100% feel like I need to jump on this now it’s my only chance. If I don’t do it now I’ll never be able to do it. I wish you nothing but the best, have a great day, and remember… If donkeydidit… You can too!
If you have ever thought about visiting or possibly even moving to Boise ID or the surrounding area… You might have wondered??? What’s the crime rate like?
Well to be perfectly honest, it’s pretty laid back and for the most part the people are laid back and chill. Typically your neighbors watch out for you and you watch out for them. We do have crime here and there though.
I’m talking about the occasional meth head and the would be Stoners here and there since we are so close to Oregon where it’s legal. In between all that we have our common thieves and an occasional homicide here and there. Nothing compared to some of the bigger cities I’ve been through throughout the U.S..
For the most part though… Your stuff is safe and nobody’s plotting to Rob your house or break into your car. Most of the crime takes place in the surrounding cities. Garden city, nampa, or Caldwell. That being said though within each City you have your laid back safe areas and then you have the areas within each City where crime is higher and more common.
Overall though, Idaho as a whole, is quite safe and the crime rate is much lower than in much of the rest of the United States.
It’s a great location though and you are within an hour or two of some really beautiful areas and fun activities to do. I’m talking about the mountains, lakes and reservoirs, hiking, skiing, four wheeling, dirt biking, fishing, boating, or even hunting. All within an hour or two of Boise.
There is also lots of really great schooling options for children and much less crime within each school as well. Whether it’s a charter school, private school, or even public schooling. It’s all pretty laid back and not too overpopulated.
If you would like to know more about this beautiful state, please email me directly at Donkey@uncledonkeystales.com and I’ll fill you in. There’s not many places in this state that I haven’t been to considering I was born and raised here.
Thanks for reading and never forget… If donkeydidit… You can too!
It depends on how much money I have, my timeline, Who I Am with, and whether or not I want to stop and do something along the way. That being said though…
I would take an airplane if I was in a hurry, had children with me, or the weather was bad. You can travel a great distance in a short bit of time.
I would take a train if there was one near me and needed to travel from one part of the state to another. In the US there’s no trains that travel across the country.
I would only take a bus if I was alone, years ago I took a bus from Boise Idaho to Knoxville Tennessee and then back. It was not fun and it was dangerous not only because of the weather but because of some of the areas of each City that it stops in and the crime rate.
I would take a car if I was traveling with my children and we wanted to stop and check things out along the Route. If you take a card you get the luxury of stopping and going as you please.
If I was single and had no kids I would totally attempt to ride a bike across the country. For my accident I was an Avid mountain biker and I love riding
First before anything, I never forget that I’m a father and I don’t do anything without thinking about my children first and I put them first before anything. Here are some details to help you understand the type of father I am, and allow you to judge, good or bad? Let me know…I’ve fought a long hard fight and having kids full-time probably makes it harder but if you’re not fighting for your kids what kind of parent are you really?
Snow cones at the park 4 years ago
My stepson lives with Mom and if you read my story you sort of know what happened. Otherwise I’ve kept them by my side since 2019 and I will have it no other way. They are all three very respectful thoughtful children.
I always hold my children accountable for their actions or failure to act. I am not afraid to embarrass them in front of their friends for acting inappropriately and no matter what they’ve done wrong if they come to me and tell me about it rather than hiding it or lying about it, I’m always sure to keep my cool and not get upset.
They respect their elders and even though I have a bad mouth at times, until they turn 18 they will watch how they speak and I don’t allow swearing. The two I have full time are 13 and 14 years old. My stepson just turned 18 on Groundhog’s Day so I took him to get his state ID, we went to lunch, and then I gave him some money to buy lottery tickets. When my daughter turned 14 I let her have a sleepover with five of her friends. My youngest just turned 13 in January and he had a sleepover here with four of his friends.
I’ve always been a sucker for my kids and they can talk me into just about anything LOL. Despite that they rarely get in trouble. Let alone get in trouble for doing something they already got in trouble for in the past. For the most part they learn from their mistakes. I never have an issue trusting them and I always make sure they know… If they want me to treat them like they are responsible then they need to make responsible decisions. I point out their responsible decisions as well as the ones that are not.
You will never hear me say I need a break from my children, you are out when you turn 18, or get out of my face. I want them to feel like I’m their best friend. I don’t want them to be afraid to come to me about things and I don’t want them to feel like they need to get away or run from me.
If they ask me for something… As long as they are not in trouble or grounded, which truthfully, they hardly ever are… I almost never tell them no. If they need something and I can’t afford it, I will start saving right then and there.
Some might disagree, however, I don’t believe in making them do a whole bunch of chores. This is their childhood, it is their only time in life to be Carefree. So as long as their pets are taken care of, homework is done, and they clean their room when I want it clean… Then I pretty much let them do what they want. As long as they ask first, it’s appropriate for someone their age to be doing, and they do it responsibly… Fine then… By all means… Have fun. Oh and they have to take out and bring in the trash cans each week.
Family gathering for Christmas 2023
I don’t get upset with them often but when I do they definitely know it and I make it clear. It rarely happens and typically only when they’re arguing or not doing what they’re asked to do. It usually doesn’t last for more than 5 minutes and I never let it ruin my day. I get mad, they correct it, I get over it, and we move on.
I wasn’t so good about it in the beginning and I think it was because of how awful she treated me… But, I try really hard not to and I almost never say anything negative to them about their mother.
Your jaw would fall off your face if I mentioned some of the things my ex-wife did to me and put me through, but that’s not why I’m here. I’m not here to be negative and this isn’t therapy.
Anyhow if you made it this far thank you for reading! Hope you enjoyed learning my techniques with my children and please let me know??? Good or bad father? What is your opinion? Would you take my advice or try applying one of my techniques?
Anyways that’s all for now…
Don’t forget if Donkeydidit you can too! Thank you and good luck
First I want to say thank you to everyone that has visited my blog, commented, liked, and started following.
Secondly I would like to inform you that the kids are all doing great and they are currently excited because it’s spring break.
Thirdly I would like to announce that as of right now I have reached 3000 views and it’s April 3rd 2024. My first post was on February 12th ish so almost 2 months ago. YAY! Ever since I started it I have been working super hard. So not only did I set up my first ever website, but I have also posted over 70+ times. Just know that I did all this on my own and nobody helped me. Website and blog 100% self-taught in the last approximately 60 days. I started building the website about 2 weeks before my first blog post.
I’ve done it all because I need to make or raise some serious cash to pay for my cares as a quadriplegic and I would rather make the money on my own then have it donated.
So thank you. I really hope you enjoy reading my content and I will be posting much more for you to follow along and get to know me. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and I wish nothing but the best for each and every one of you. If there’s anything you don’t like or you would like to know please shoot me a comment or email me at donkey@uncledonkeystales.com
Please don’t forget to subscribe and comment so you don’t miss my future posts.
