A few days ago my step brother came over. He was telling me how he’s been struggling and having a hard time finding work, how his phone’s broke, and he has no money.
Now granted I definitely don’t have much money and he already owed me $20… I still gave him $40 that night and the next day I was hanging out with my sister-in-law and I remembered that I told her I would sell her boss one of my kids’ old iPhones. They hadn’t paid me for it yet so I asked her if she still had it and if I could take it back and she said absolutely.
It took me a while since his phone was broke but I got in touch of my step brother and I told him to meet me at my house. I went ahead and just gave him the iPhone.
If you are ever in a position where you’re either doing better than or slightly better than someone else and you can help out even if it means getting rid of half of what you have left… You should go ahead and help them out. When the tables reversed you’re going to wish somebody could do it for you and there’s a good chance it’s going to be somebody you’ve helped out in the past.
