I love spending time with my kids. Whether we watch a movie, go on a stroll around the block, go hiking, I’ve had my wheelchair on some pretty sketchy trails. I enjoy going to the mountains with them, taking them swimming, just anything that involves one on one time between me and my children. Unlike I was when I was their age, they are very good responsible children that aren’t afraid to ask.
I enjoy going on long drives and do quite frequently. I can’t stand sitting in the house for too long. I also find joy in showing people how to work on their cars or replace a broken part. That is something I do quite often as well.
I am a family man and I enjoy spending time with all of my family as often as possible. Get together, Christmas, birthday parties, just any excuse to get together really. I can’t really go camping anymore but I will still drive out and visit the family reunions that takes place. I will also host barbecues quite often and invite family over.
As a quadriplegic I can’t really buy myself anything new. That being said I find joy in buying things for my children when I can afford it. I enjoy lighting my fire pit and letting all the kids roast marshmallow.
I enjoy designing things and talking somebody through exactly how to set something up so that it looks exactly like I want it to when they are done and I’m good at doing so without getting irritated or impatient.
I enjoy mediating when people I know have a problem and help them come to a conclusion where everybody agrees. Going to the races on the weekend is a good time for me as well. Basically as long as I’m not sitting at home for too many days in a row then I am happy. Last but not least I enjoy learning new things.
